If every one fulfill their responsibilities we are sure that we will succeed.
Considering four main functions:
SUPPORTERS:
Are responsible for generating large amounts of resources to launch the dragons, and to help principally the attackers.
Normally they should try to be larger than the rest of the kingdom, always exploring outside of war. And often accumulate the function of being dragon slayers
ATTACKERS:
Should keep great ofensive power and are the key to a successful war. Should always ask for help to mantain their military strength.
THIEVES:
The thieves have two main functions:
1 - get all information of the enemy and post on UpoOpu
2 - steal the resources from the enemy
And also cause damage with sabotage operations
MAGES:
Have the function of destroy the enemy with magic power, or help our own with support spells.
Usually a province has not only one function.
Let us examine the possible combinations and races/personalities that traditionally work well for each of these functions:
Pure Supporter
Traditionally known by cow, a province that play pure supporter grow a lot on the beggining of the age becoming an unbreakable for most of the enemies. His land and NW will become much bigger than the rest of the kingdom being able to create lots of resources to help all kingdom and slay dragon with ease.
The disadvantage is that being so far in NW from the rest of the kingdom he normally don´t have thiever or mage function, and their attacks probably will only have efect attacking with raze.
races/personalities: Human Sage, Dwarf Merchant or Faery Sage
Pure Attacker
The pure attackers is the most common form of playing only one single function.
Are provinces focused entirely on military using thieves and wizards only for defense.
Is expected from them that have the greatest offensive force in the kingdom.
races/personalities: Orc Warrior or Undead Tactician
Attacker Thief or Attacker Mage
These provinces still have the mainly power on their military but also assume a thievery or mage function. They will not have so strong military power as the pure attackers and normally their thief/mage ability is weak.
race/personalities: change each age
Pure Thief
Also known by Super Thief is not very common a province play this single role, but a Kingdom with a super thief can have a strategical advantage against the enemy.
Having a extreme thievery power can be impossible to the enemy save any resource from being stolen, and also the super thief can be used to save the resources from his own Kingdom.
Normally a Super Thief will focus on propaganda the enemy with extremely high amount of thieves per acre.
race/personalities: Halfling Rogue
Thief Attacker
Still having as its primary function the thievery, these are the most commom form of play a thief.
This province will probably still be able in break any province with his thieves, and will help the kingdom attacking too.
race/personalities: Halfling Rogue
Pure Mage
A very uncommon possibility because a province entire focused on magic will probably be leaving aside its capacity to perform some other function. But we can think in a province that runs extremely high Guilds during all age to be able to break even the enemy mages, and also his allies to MV them.
race/personalities: Elf Mystic
Mage attacker
Normally when you play as mage you also have the attacker function, able to destroy the enemy with the most powerful spells and still attack weak defenses.
race/personalities: Elf Mystic
Thief Mage
Also Known as Sitting Duck the thief mages use their military only for defense while cause damage with their thieves and mages. To cause good damage to the enemy the thief mages should not distance in NW from their own Kingdom. This way they will be close to the enemy in NW to really destroy them.
race/personalities: Faery Sage
Thief Mage Supporter
Differentiating itself from the traditional T/Ms, these provinces should grow a litle more than the rest of the kingdom. Despite losing some of their T/M capacity they will be able to dragon slayer and generate resources to the kingdom.
race/personalities: Faery Sage
Thief Mage Attacker
This is a difficult option. Trying to perform all functions you run the risk of not performing any. But experient players can run a province molding itself to fill gaps in the kingdom depending on what needs at each moment.
race/personalities: difficult to say
Note that you may not have the same function throughout the age. It is common provinces starting as pure mages or thieves and becoming hybrids during the age, or provinces that grow too much losing its original function and becoming supporters. Anyway it is good that these changes are made consciously and with the consent of the kingdom, otherwise the kingdom can unbalance due to some player who runs away from his duties.
