Networth (or simple NW) is a nominal value in gold coins of a province or Kingdom. All things a province has is calculated to define its NW.
The important thing to know is that when you are interacting with another province, attacking, casting a spell, or conducting thievery operation, the damage you cause is defined by the comparison between your province NW and the enemy province NW (note that difference between KDs NW also counts).
The idea is that you should always be focused on provinces/Kingdoms with similar NW than your self NW.
Bellow is the formula of how NW interferes on attack gains.
Province Networth Factor
Relative Province Networth (rpnw) = Targets Networth / Self Networth
Province Networth Factor = DEPEND ( rpnw ) :
rpnw < 0.567 = 0
0.567 < rpnw < 0.9 = 3 * rpnw - 1.7
0.9 < rpnw < 1.1 = 1
1.1 < rpnw < 1.6 = -2 * rpnw + 3.2
rpnw > 1.6 = 0
Kingdom Networth Factor
Relative Kingdom Networth (rknw) = Target Kingdom Networth / Self Kingdom Networth
Kingdom Networth Factor = DEPEND ( rknw ) :
rknw < 0.4 = 0.6666
0.4 < rknw < 0.9 = rknw * 2/3 + 0.4
rknw > 0.9 = 1
Despite this is just a formula for attacks, and the formula for spells and thievery is unknown, we can see that the ideal range to interact with a province is between 90% and 110% self networth.
Something like 80% and 125% self networth is still viable (these are the limit to 70% gains).
Out of this range gains start to become inefficient and probably never worth do something against provinces smaller than 60% or bigger than 160% (the only possibility is raze attacks that don´t considers the NW difference).
