Growing

We are a warring Kingdom, that means we will try to engage on wars whenever possible. But that does not mean we should neglect the peace time, because what we accomplish during peacetime will directly influence our wars. Let´s see here how our Kingdom should grow.



Although we are a warring Kingdom that is focused in win wars I think is also nice to grow as much as we can. Besides we stay more grandiose approaching us from the greatest kingdoms, the bigger we go, more control we will have over our own kingdom, because on this game size is power, and we do not have much to do against kingdom bigger than us.
Also is true that the bigger we are more dificult becomes the game, because we will have to fight battles against great kingdoms. But we are not cowards and we want to become one of the best:

"Tell me against whom you battle, that will tell you who you are"

So, lets trace here a growth strategy to guide the entire kingdom during the age.

First of all let´s keep in mind that there are 5 ways to gain land:
1 - Exploring
2 - Attacking for land
3 - Paradise (use it when you are pumping wizards with great percentage of guilds)
4 - Land Lust
5 - Choosing gain land after a war win

So, how much and in what manner each province should grow?
Let´s categorize the provinces in 4 types:
1 - Full Supporters
2 - T/Ms
3 - Hybrids
4 - Pure Attackers

1 - The Full Supporters are provinces that should grow a lot becoming unbreakable and much more bigger than the rest of the kingdom. Kingdons that use this strategy can on the begining of the age request to all their provinces send soldiers and gold to the Full Supporter to he explore the maximum. The full supporter can have the goal of exploring all pool of the kingdom or can stop on a certain distance from the rest. The function of a full supporter is after grow a lot help the entire kingdom with extreme amount of resources, and this way facilitate the growth of others too.

2 - About the T/Ms we need to ask if they also have the support function. To perform the support function efficiently the province must be greater than the average of the kingdom but it will decrease their thief and mage ability to cause damage.
So a T/M can stay on the average of the kingdom on land if do not have the support function; 
Or can grow a litle if have the support role. 165% the average of the kingdom appears to be a good amount to play T/M support function.
The T/Ms grow mainly exploring but can do it with paradise and Land Lust on the end of wars.

3 - The Hybrids can be divided into two kinds:
  • those who have the attacker function as their primary responsibility (normally avians, humans or dwarves)
  • And those who have the attacker function as a secondary responsability (normally elves and halflings)
Both should aim in stay close to the average of the kingdom to perform their function properly.
What change between the two kinds of hybrids is the way they should grow.
The second kind should never attack out of war, keeping their elites on home to defend their land. So they should grow exploring and with paradise (only using their elites on possible ambushs).
But the first kind more focused on attacking can use their ofensive power to grow attacking out of war besides also grow exploring. A good oportunity to these provinces attack is retaliating provinces that previously attacked us. 

4 - The pure attackers (normally orcs and undeads) should keep attacking constantly! Its greatest strength resides in its offensive force and they should use it in their favor. 
These provinces should only explore on specific situations, like when they were chained on war and become very small. On normal situation they grow only attacking. 
And they should never stop the attacks especially for land, but also plundering and learning.
The undeads in particular train elites on land attacks and should always be looking for a good  Traditional March.
The pure attackers have no limit to grow, they should try always grow the maximum they can, but just attacking!
And we should remember here that these provinces should be supported primarily by our supporters.

BEGINNING OF THE AGE
Since we are a warring Kingdom we should not grow much on the protection time to join a war as soon is possible. 
Our attackers specially should keep very small, not exploring more than 50-100 acres.
Our hybrids focused on attacking will probably work as pure attackers on the first war and should not grom more than that too
Our haflings and elves probably will fight the first war as pure thief or mage, and can explore a litle more to have some support function too. (100 - 200 acres)
The T/Ms probably fight the first war as supporters and can explore 300 acres or more.
Only to a full supporter (if we have one) is allowed to explore a lot during the beginning of the age
Not obey this limits is usually the reason that makes us enter with the left foot on the age.

STANCES
The stances directly interfere on our growth and it is good to have a standard in our kingdom to all know how to organize our provinces.

First is good to remember that being a warring kingdom we will not stay much time in peace, trying to keep a maximum of two weeks in peace.

Lets creat here a "time-line" of stances:
1 - After a war has finished we stay on end-of-war protection during a time that can be between two and four days. Normally I leave the eow protection when our NW rank exceeds our Land rank.
During the eow protection is time to we retrain our troops with 30% reduction in training costs of all troops and Draft cost reduced 50%.
2 - Leaving eow protectiong we probably go to Normal Stance to our small provinces explore and attack and our big provinces pump science and wizard.
3 - After some time in normal stances probably some of our provinces will become fat lands and we start to be target for other kingdons so we need to move to Fortified for a day or more to our provinces train troops cheaper. During this first Fortified I also want all our provinces with 25% guilds to pump wizards!
4 - We repeat this alternation between Normal and Fortified until we think our kingdom is in good condition for a new war. (Alternatively we can go for aggression instead of Normal in some of this waves)
